About Us
The Contract & Information Shared Services Unit (CISSU), formerly known as the Information, Knowledge Management & Contract Management (IKMCM) Shared Service, was conceived and jointly sponsored by the 8 Cheshire and Merseyside PCTs to provide Secondary Care and Independent Sector Contract Management services, together with the associated Information and Knowledge Management services to support the contracting function.

CISSU was established to enable the PCTs to make collective decisions on the review, planning, procurement and performance monitoring of Acute Secondary Care contracts and Independent Sector contracts.
