Car parking
There are a limited number of car parking spaces at the Wilderspool site. We have been allocated spaces that are marked with a blue square. These spaces are available on a first come first served basis. A map of the car park is attached.
It is your responsibility to park in a correct space. Vehicles will be subject to wheel clamping if parked in any space which is not marked with a blue square. Release fee is £100 payable personally by the visitor.
Two disabled parking spaces are available at the closest point to Quayside.
If there are no blue spaces available (on particularly busy days); a formal arrangement has been made with Morrison's supermarket that staff may park on the Morrison's car park on the basis that:
- Perimeter spaces only are used
- Morrison's accept no responsibility/liability whatsoever which may arise from the use of their car parking spaces
Fire Evacuation
All visitors must sign into the Visitors book at Reception upon arrival and sign out again before departure. The Visitors book is the mechanism by which we check the location and safety of visitors during fire evacuations.
Fire alarms are tested each Tuesday at 11.30am, the alarm will be sounded for approximately 8 seconds. No action is required.
If the alarm is sounded at any other time, you must follow your host via the nearest safe exit route to the fire assembly point which is located in the corner of the car park adjacent to Quayside and follow their instructions.
The chairperson of your meeting will have asked you to sign in on the ‘register of attendees’; in the case of an activation of the fire alarm, the chairperson will take this register to the fire assembly point to carry out a roll-call.
Informing Visitors of Health & Safety Information
The Chairperson at your meeting will advise, at the beginning of the meeting:
- Location of toilet facilities
- Whether a fire alarm test is due to be carried out
- Nearest fire exits
- Location of assembly point
